Wish upon a star

Natalie and Nicole wish upon seeing a star on our way home. Natalie wishs that Papa, mummi, grandma, mei-mei and auntie will always be together. And she also wishs that she want to go to school another day. Nicole wishs for something too but she speaks so softly that no one can hear her.

Our stay at Swissotel

Last Dec, we stayed at Swissotel for 1 day to celebrate our Xmas. Since both our girls enjoyed their stay at Holiday Inn, Malacca, we decided to go for another hotel stay. They loved the bathtub and can't wait to join in. They had their fill of bubble baths.

Bye Bye Baby Moo Moo

At the begining of this year, we are thinking of having a another baby. Then we deliberate for a while and now there is only 1 more month before the end of Year 2009. As I prefer to have a baby at the end of the year. Hence there goes my Baby No.3 dream unless miracle do happen in a month.

Another attempt to bake

2 weekend ago, Kelyn, Claudia and Michelle gathered at my place to bake for our super duper vain-pot chanel crazy Mavis. We baked 3 cakes but only 1.5 cakes can be used. It's not totally about the cake, but rather the effort that we put in and the fun we have in the process of baking.

By the time, we finished it is almost 2. Kelyn was so tired that she decide to zzz instead of joining her friends to do her revision. We used up almost all the baking ingredient in my fridge. It's a good way to clear stock and also to get-together! Oh I love to bake! Papi please dun ask me to throw away my goody oldy kenwood!!!

Here's the cake! and FYI it is still edible.

Not easy to be a kid these days

Natalie is given homework for every weekend. She will have to do at least 3 pages of chinese homework + 2 worksheet for maths and english. These seems alot to me. I have a friend whose child is in Nursery is given homework everyday!!! Though it looks simple to us, it is a fair amount for work for the kid. Time has really changed, I do not remember doing any homework until I am in P1.

Our girl is not someone who can sit down and finish her homework. At the most she will do only a page or two for us. Sometimes we even have to resort to cane just to get her to sit down at the table to start her work. It is not an easy task. I would say her Papi is doing a much better job than me. He is definitely more stern and she listen to him esp when he is angry.

Natalie rather play with her yi-yi iTouch than to start with her chinese homework. After many attempts to get her to start working on her homework, Papi caned the table hard and she got a fright. Her concern is not her homework but rather if her Papi is angry with her. She will ask her Papi "Are you happy?" and hug him. Tell me who would get angry with her?
