Welcome Home Nathan Chew

Today we welcome back the 5th member of the Chew Family, our little Boy Nathan.

See the cheeky look before leaving the hospital.

Amazing how these 37 weeks went for mummy Lynn ... all the pain in the middle of the night. The poking of the fingers due to GD and I guess the most difficult thing of all ... the diet control. In any case I also join in to get my fingers poked by you and also eat less sinful food just to make u feel better. But then it is still short of all the pain which you have got to shoulder by yourself.

Then come D-Day, 25th Nov 2009 ..... the cries of little Nathan filled the Labour Ward 9 of GlenEagles Hospital.

Back at the home front, the girls were excited and welcomed their little brother Nathan home. Big Sister Natalie even went to the extent of lowering the TV volume so that little Nathan wouldnt be disturbed. And she could proudly say that little Nathan is so cute and would hesitate to help out whenever she can just like when she ran off to look for milk bottles when we mentioned that it was time for Nathan's feed. Thumbs Up little Girl.

Little Nicole is also excited about the arrival of little Nathan. No one can forget the joy and laughter she had when she was at the food court of Gleneagles Hospital.
Then back at home, she is also fast to react to little Nathans cries and keep wanting to help out as well.

Thank you mummy ... Thank for giving us such a wonder brother.

Thanks to my wife for giving me, our 3rd bundle of joy.

Btw, the blog address is still relevant given NAT is short form for Nathan. Hahahahaha but I have added Nathan's name into the title.

Thanks everyone for visiting us at the hospital and thanks for all the gifts and well wishes.

Tune in for more pictures and videos .... Papa Chew is also drained. No good sleep for 3 nights liao.

Cheers .... Thumbs Up to Mummy Lynn. : )

Natalie's Birthday Party

Highlight of Natalie's 5th Birthday party is the magician. He managed to get the kids and adults to laugh her hearts out. All the kids really enjoy his performance.

False Alarm

Last week, I was admitted due to contractions. Just 15 minutes after strapping on the CTG machine, the nurse confirmed that I have to admitted. My contractions are very regular and high. It is extremely painful. I am only 34 weeks pregnant hence Dr. Tan want to try all means to stop the contractions and prevent me from going into labour. I was given ventolin drip and stayed in the observation ward for almost 6 hours as my contractions did not stop. The drip caused heart palpitation which is extremely uncomfortable. Luckily the medication worked and I was discharged from the hospital after 2 days. Even after discharge, I has to take ventolin tablets until I deliver the baby.

I am so proud of you!

Natalie went through alot in order to appear on the stage for her school concert. She almost did not get a chance to perform as she is considered not up to it by her teacher. However at our insistance, the school included her in the concert, only in the music rendition which all performers will be singing.

Hence on the day, she is the only one who is wearing her school uniform while the rest are in their costumes. She is the only one that went to the concert hall without make up. She is the only one that is seated at one corner. She is conveniently forgotten by the teachers. The rest of her classmates queried why she neither has make up or costume on. How you expect my girl to answer? How would she feel?

"You saved me" are the words she said when she saw her Daddy who went looking for her at the backstage. Daddy wanted to bring her home but my poor girl insisted on staying on to perform with her friends. No matter how injustice she has suffered, she only has a simple wish which is to be able to be on the same stage as her friends.

The smile on her face when she finally make it to the stage is priceless.

She has been told by her teacher and classmates that she can't dance. She told me that on our way to her school just before her concert. How can a teacher said such things to a 5 year old? And I believe she has done it in front of her classmates. What is expected of a 5 year old?

I am so proud of my girl !

34 weeks soon

Another day to 34 weeks! Lately I have not been sleeping well as little Nathan is has been doing his stretching exercise in the wee hours of the night. When I toss to find a more comfortable position, he do likewise. May be because Daddy has been playing too much Mafia War to talk to him and little Nathan is protesting.

I have been losing weights ever since I am dignosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), but at least little Nathan is growing well. He is about 2kg at 31 weeks. Diet wise, I am grown to be more relax because I am hungry all the time. I really do not want Little Nathan to lose weight.

I was at The Line to celebrate Brandon's birthday the other day, I simply can't resist the desserts. In the end, I had a teeny weeny piece of tart and a marshmallow made especially for me by Natalie. For the whole evening, she is asking me to share her marshmallows and I keep telling her to go ahead and eat on her own. when she see that I did not share with her, she asked my mum to bring her to the foundue fountain and made 1 especially for me. How can I reject her? It is the best marshmallow that I have ever tasted. My blood glucose went up to 9.9 that night when it should not exceed 6.7.

My nesting instinct is kicking in and I want to see that everything is spick and span before Little Nathan arrives. That's a really big challenge as I hardly have any energy after work and weekends are devoted to my girls.

Crybaby

Our elder girl is growing up fast. Here are some interesting conversations between Natalie and us.

#1

Mummy: Why are you such a cry baby just now?
Natalie: I am not a crybaby! Baby is inside your tummy. I am Natalie a girl.
Mummy: You're not a cry baby, why do you keep crying just now?
Natalie: Hmmmmm (beaming)

#2

Natalie: Mummy, you don't go to work, Daddy goes to work
Mummy: Nope, I have to work
Natalie: Don't worry Mummy
Mummy: If mummy don't work, who is going to buy you your chocolate ice cream, and milk powder?
Natalie: Okay mummy, then you go to work!

#3

Daddy: I am going to work, take care of mummy and Nicole okay?
Natalie: (proudly) Okay Daddy!

My pre-nursery girl is punished in school

Nicole is been punished in school today. This is the first time I heard any pre-nursery student that is punished. According to LiHong, her teacher said that she was naughty and would not listen to her instructions. In the end, Nicole was asked stand outside the class room. She even pretend to sob when she saw LiHong.

Amazing!

False Alarm

I have a little spotting and extreme cramp and I seriously thought Little Nathan is going to arrive. We rushed to the gynae and luckily it is an false alarm. I am so worry that he will arrive so early and has to stay in an incubator. I am so glad that it is not!

Superstar Virgo - our family trip

so nice and yet we did not get a chance to play here

Thanks to my aunt! We manage to go on a family trip before our little baby arrives. We went on a 3D2N cruise. Natalie was reluctant, she was crying and screaming to go home as we board the ship. Nicole on the other hand, was excited and even said a loud "waahhhh" the moment we stepped into the main lobby.

My mum, sister, LiHong, aunts, uncle and cousins are with us as well. That's make the trip more relax. Daddy and me even have the luxury to walk around the decks for some couple time while my mum and LiHong take care of the girls.

Natalie is fine after she went to our room and saw that there is disney channel. Both of them then happily jumped on the bed. Both of them are happy moving around the rooms visiting their yees yees and disturbing them. We did not manage to swim as it was raining cats and dogs and they prefer to play in the acrade.

We keep telling the girls the ship will not be moving, as it is anchored to the harbour and look at the building around us. They probably have the fear that how can such a big thing float in the middle of the sea. We tried not to draw the curtain to our balcony so that they will not see that the ship is moving. Just before sleeping time, the ship set off and we can feel abit of vibration. Natalie was about sleep, she asked "Is the ship moving?". We told her no it is not. Nicole too asked the same question. However the next morning, though they no longer see the building. They did not complain. Probably then they realise they are still safe though the ship is moving.
We had a great time however when we asked the girls if they want to go on a cruise again. Natalie said NO and Nicole YES.

Mooncake Festival 2009

We have a mini celebration with my relatives. After dinner, majority of us went to the void deck to have fun with lanterns and sparklers. Tons of mooncakes, food were also brought downstair.

Natalie was enjoying until her yees-yees and jiu-jius started playing with the sparkler. She is so concerned that the sparklers will start a fire. She is also worried about her little sister will burn her finger. So everytime Nicole holds a sparkler, she will start crying and telling Nicole to let go of the sparkler. She just can't stand the sight of the sparklers that she has to go home. In the end, I have to bring her home first. But not forgetting her peanuts. She ran all the way back to the void deck to collect her peanuts. And happily sat down at the dinning to enjoy her peanut with me.

Little Nicole has fun with her yee-yees and jiu-jius at the void deck before coming home drench in her perspiration and her face totally red from all the running.

Little one and his Daddy

Hmmm little one is getting more active these days and loves to play with his Daddy. Just before I can sleep he will try to engage his Daddy by giving me a big kick so that his Daddy notice and start talking to him.

Yesterday, Daddy is asking him which name he prefer and ask him to kick if he like the name. He likes Lucas, Ethan and Nathan. He responded to all the 3 names. Daddy is especially proud when little one respond to Lucas. I am not sure why Lucas, which I do not really fancy. We shall test again ...

Monday 21 September 2009

Natalie is down with food poisoning

Friday evening, Daddy came home with the soft drink and crackers from 7-11, that make the girls so happy. Natalie took bulk of the crackers and before you know it at 12 midnight she started throwing out. She threw up a couple of times during the night. She literally soiled all the mattress and bedsheet. She was so apolgetic that each time she vomit she will say "sorry, so sorry". She did not sleep through the night. In the morning, she start having diarrhoea. We went to the GP the moment the clinic open.

She was so frail for the next few days that she would just lie down on the mattress and watch TV. She doesn't even dare to eat much for the worry that she might throw up. Though the situation seems to have improve, she continue to throw up and diarrhoea until Sunday. We then brought her to KKH. The wait is horrible, there are so many sick children and even newborn. Natalie try to make the situation better by telling us that she is fine. She is a happy girl amongst the cranky kids.

Luckily she doesn't have to be admitted. She is given medicine and medical leave for the next few day and we went home. Just before we go home, she requested for Milo which I gave her. And she threw up in the taxi. The taxi is totally dirtied. Daddy and Natalie keep saying sorry to the taxi driver. We even wanted to compensate him for the mess but he refused. Daddy is so angry with me for giving her the Milo.

Presents from Kenneth

Nicole went straight to the white bear. Natalie has no preference.
Their dear jiu jiu purposely made a trip to our home just to give the girls the bears as well as elmo bookmarks. In the end they are more interested in the bookmarks than the bear. Anyway thanks! jiu jiu

Kids Amaze at Boon Lay SAFRA

For some time I have been waiting to bring the girls to try out the new playground at Boon Lay SAFRA. It is one of the largest playgrounds in Singapore equipped with a three-storey vertical maze. I am thinking at least we do not have to travel all the way to Pasir Ris for the girls to have fun at indoor playgrounds.

Been pregnant has some privileges, I am exempted for following the girls through the maze and spare of the 3 storey high slide. Daddy and Li Hong have a tough time following the girls around. Especially for Li Hong who has to ride the slides with Natalie and get her head spinning. She ended up with a bruised leg while Natalie lose a big patch of skin on her elbow as both of them came down the longest slide. Ouch!

Both girls had a great time though Natalie has a big boo-boo that she insisted that Daddy bandage for her the moment we got home. And when I asked her if she want to go to there again, she said yes. Probably the adults are the ones who would probably prefer another place.

My little bump

I am at my 26 weeks and my little bump is getting more prominent, so much so that people on the train start noticing that I am preggy and offer me seat. I am thankful for those who offer their seats to me. I have a amazing effect on people, usually those on the Priority seat. They usually "fall" asleep the moment i step onto the train. Very seldom would an youngster offer their seats. But yesterday, there is a family with 2 young girls, the girls offer their seats to me. And their parent apolgise that they did not do so earlier. It shows how good the upbringing the girls have.

I have put on a fair bit of weight which make walking and standing a chore. I can't shop as much as I do. Thinking that with the arrival of baby, there is going to be mininal chance that I can go shopping lugging the 3 kids and now I can't shop as much now makes me so sad. Hmmm there goes my shopping days.

I am diagnose with gestational diabetes. For this pregnancy, I always have craving for sweet stuff esp macarons. May be I have a macaron too many and now I can't have any. With mooncake festival round the corner, I would have no choice to give up on my fave mooncakes. Do not tell me about the less sugar version, I would rather go without it.

Daddy has been trying to do the name test on little baby. But he does not respond to any of the names as yet. So we have not decided on his name. I am hoping that he will respond to the name i chose.

Daddy, can we have this please?

Natalie's wishlist - ELC pink Water and Sand table

Natalie and Nicole now browse through the ELC catalogue choose what they want. They will go running to their Daddy and ask for things. Natalie went to her Daddy and said that she need this table. Here's how she try to get her Daddy to buy for her.

Natalie: Daddy, we need this table so we can play with sand and water
Daddy: We can always go to the beach.
Natalie: No, the beach is dangerous.
Daddy: Why is the beach dangerous?
Natalie: Hmmm, there are sea creatures. Daddy can we have the table?

Fun at The Icing Room

Cake that the girls decorated at Icing Room.
Natalie can't wait for a slice hence I didn't manage to take the picture of the entire cake

Yummy and satisfied

A satisfied girl is a happy girl

Natalie enjoys Bakerzin's profiteroles and hence we decide to treat both of them to more profiteroles this weekend.
On our way to lunch at Din Tai Feng, the girls saw Icing Room and can't wait to have their cake and decorate it. 2 of them standing on the stool, happily squeezing away. Their mission is simple - To put as much cream and colour on to their cake as possible. If not for their profiteroles, they
will want to go home straight away to eat their cake.
Nicole fell asleep on our way home and her jiejie get to eat the cake the moment we reach home.

2 months at Chow Chow House

It has been 2 months that the 2 girls have shifted back to Chow Chow House. It has been a wonderful experience not matter how tiring it can be. It is so comforting to have our lovelies saying goodbye to us in the morning and running to greet us when we return home each evening. Our girls have changed their sleeping routine, they are usually asleep by 9pm and up by 7:30 am.

Natalie has progressed a fair bit in terms of her studies, Daddy has put in alot of effort in coaching her. She now talks about her teachers and sometimes her friends. It is a pity that her fave Zhang "liao shi" is leaving, she has left a great impact on our girl. Natalie now speaks more fluently in mandarin. She can even hold a proper conversation with her Grandma in mandarin. She has been picking up books and encuclopaedia to read through the pictures.

Nicole is getting more vain, she has a change of cloth almost every 3 hours. In particular she loves dresses. This gives Li Hong a hard time, washing and ironing all her clothes. She will go around asking Li Hong and Grandma "Am I pretty". Amazing, both Daddy and myself is not so vain, so how did we get a little vainpot.

We are glad that we made the right decision to shift them back to Chow Chow House. We are really thankful to Grandpa, Grandma and Claudia ee-ee for the inconvenience that they have to put up because of our arrangement.

Yes, its confirmed!

Confirmed it is a BOY! Well Mummy just cant wait for me to update this.

Right ... if these 2 gals that I currently have are terrorists, just cant figure out how the little boy would turn out to be.

Everyone is calling up to check and even received several well wishes from my colleagues at work.

Great Day!

Monday 10 August 2009

Change, the only constant variable!

Well ..... the gap between the post tells of the type of life we are leading. HECTIC!

Everyone and everything requires attention. From work in the office to the faulty light bulb in the walk-in.

With everyone falling sick at home life was getting even more stressful. But then not everyday is smooth sailing, especially with kids around .... not everyday is Sunday hence we need to adapt to the constant changing circumstances and subordinate our own needs/wants.

For the young .... change is a difficult thing. Natalie is growing up .... and recently just required a change of shoe. Well evidence from past has indicated that making her wear a new shoe was no joke. She cried, she screamed and she hit me ..... all this cos of a new shoe. All this in front of Nicole who was watching live entertainment at her sister's expense.

The biggest joke of all was when Nicole helped me count 1, 2, 3 which is an indication to Natalie that Daddy's patience is up. Whats worse or funny was when Nicole said " No daddy, No! Use the cane, quick use the cane!"

Interesting ... change is also happening to Nicole who has grown more mischievious and demanding. Until recently then I know that Nicole has been making her aunti dig her nose every night. It was only when Aunti was sick where I got to takeover that I realise, Nicole was getting such exclusive treatment. Unfotunately, Daddy wasnt of much help as Nicole puts it " No Daddy, your finger too big. Cannot dig my nose!"

Come December another addition would bring in more change .... patience would be tested for sure. We shall see .....! Til we await the confirmation of the gender this Wednesday!

National Day Celebration 2009

It has been Daddy's family tradition to celebrate with his family to watch NDP Parade together with a good spread of food right in front of their TV. Every year without fail he will fondly recall the year that everyone got prepared happily and settled down in front of the TV and only to realised the TV is not working when they tried switching it on. That year they ate without watching the parade.

This year, we decided to stay at home to carry on Daddy's family tradition at our place. He rushed to get pizza, while the rest of us set up the table in front of the TV watching for the parade to start.

Natalie so happy that her tee's "Come Together" logo shown on TV that she does not want to take it off. She kept waving her flag and jump around and even tried to say the pledge. Nicole on the other hand, could not really be bother.

When Daddy got back, everyone sits in front of the TV to enjoy the parade together with pizza. Though simple, it is an enjoyable way to spend our Natianal Day 2009!

Grandma, wo ai ni

This is the phrase Natalie has been repeating day in day out. We are not sure what spur her to keep repeating this. She even said " Grandma, wo ai ni, ni bu ke yi da wo". Amazingly to see how see interpret the phrase "wo ai ni".

It might be because, with the change of arrangement, my mom is not with her throughout the week. Hence she feel the need to emphasize to her grandma that she loves her. Everytime, my mom goes home, Natalie will want to call her to tell her she miss her and ask her to come back to soon.

She has been affectionately telling me that she loves mummy. But when daddy asked her if she loves him. She will only grin. For sure, it is because of the "Homework Time" that daddy enforce every evening. But I will have to THANKS their daddy for been so supportive and attentive to the girls and our families while I am on half operational mode or rather as he called it the lazy mode!

Sunday 5 July 2009

Week of Many 1st!

This week is a week of many first. First Day of School for Natalie and Nicole in their new school.

More interestingly Natalie's first spelling in Chinese and English. "Niu" for Chinese and Ox and Owl for the English. See Natalie at Macdonalds after her first day of school. For almost everyday, she was there after school. To get her reward I suppose for her efforts in school.

1st movie for the 2 gals. Ice Age 3 - Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Somehow, Natalie started asking for pop corns. Then came the idea from Daddy to go watch a movie. All prepared to waste the $$ if they were to throw tantrums while in the theatre, and off we went. Both were noisy in the cinema ..... er, quite interesting though cos I used to hate parents who bring their noisy children for movies and end up disturbing the rest. Ha Ha ... now I am one of them.

Both like pop corns and Natalie like the mother likes the salted ones. Was supposed to share with the daddy but half way through the movie, naughty natalie decided to use her body to shield her pop corn away from Daddy. Even asking me to SSSH! when I tok to her. Nicole on the other hand was drama ... keep saying oh no, wat happen? wats happening to the Dinosaur!

Great weekend .... though the "herd" were all not feeling well. The Movie was a good break away from the routine. Looks like weekends needs more planning and more activities yah! Good Day!

Sunday 28 June 2009

Being flexible and learning to be patient!

Teaching Natalie has now reached 2 gear ...... and I must say she has already gotten into the idea of doing homework at night. Automatically stopping her computer games to sit down with me. Why this is only stage 1 and the easy part. The more difficult one is of course the part where real work is done. I have learnt over the course of these 1.5 weeks the need for extreme patience which leads me to wonder why people cultivate patience through fishing. Er ... guess they experience more results teaching a 4 year old numbers and mathematics. Or at least I learn that.

Saturday was supposed to be "Big Slide" day. Unfortunately Natalie decided otherwise and make Daddy hit booiling point. Putting the entire trip on hold and we end up at Macdonalds instead.

Dinner was at Lot 1 .... where else. But then the 2 gals were in chorus and they sang and shouted together. Creating almost a mini rackus in the food court. Nicole was particularly happy cos she managed to drink in the same manner as her Sister. However, little know to her that the difference is in the contents not the glass.

Nevertheless ... everyone came back hapi. A prelude to our future weekend outings together. Good Day!

Sunday 21 June 2009

Its Father's Day

Well .... its fathers' day. Not that I am really into it but I guess it is to gather. To recount that I have a family now where 2 kids look up to me to solve their problem .... was told to enjoy it while it lasts. To enjoy the fact that they fight over me ..... makes me feel wanted now that my wife is pre-occupied with her pregancy.

It just leads me to think of how much the 2 gals of grown so lets flashback for 2 years.

Even as 2 years ago, Natalie has already begun her role as the tormentor of Nicole. hahahahahaha! But then even as early as 2 years ago .. Nicole has already embarked on her .... cutie pie role.

And Natalie .... the big sister role has already stepped in as she shows her non-chalant attitude in whatever she does. Confident. Strong willed. Focused.

Wednesday 17 June 2009

Yes .... they are back!

Well ..... yes they are back. My 2 daughters .... been a long time. The trip plus the self imposed quarantine (still questioning the necessity) and finally they are back here.

Both gals miss us. I miss them too. Nicole in particular missed Daddy alot.

Got to play, teach and have fun with them. But then there are lots of things to do. Schools re-opening soon .... hence the need to engage Natalie at work. Life is gonna get hectic ..... cos real work starts after 11 p.m. when they are asleep. A way to stretch myself further.

But then its a good start. Nothing beats the feeling of having them back here. Permanently!

Good Day! 170609!

Monday 15 June 2009

Checkup Day for "BIG BABY"! So is it A Girl OR Boy ?!?

Its been a long time.

Its checkup day for BIG BABY once again.
Didnt really notice in the past but Doc Tan seems to tok more and have a greater sense of humour. Maybe it bcos BIG BABY has always been plaguing him with stupid questions.

Anyway no weight gain. But baby is ok.
Interesting day in the sense I was expecting to see my 2 princesses today but .... lets not dwell on this. Contentious issues always exists and inconsistencies prevail in our lives anyway. Life goes on.

Gender of the baby made known to us alreadi. But its gonna to be a secret for now.
While many have their own expectations, somehow i have my own hunch.
End day, it just feels good to have it confirmed.
I prayed for a healthy baby and smooth delivery when I was at Thailand.
Anyone reading this and wanting to know, come Dec 15th, you will.

Sunday 31 May 2009

Back to my 2 daughters!

The above is Natalie sitting at the exact spot where I would sit to watch TV or read at night. Same relaxed pose and according to "BIG BABY" who took the picture, same way of resting her legs. Interesting yah .... right from the way she eats ice cream, writes number 8 and her shy nature in front of strangers. Remember how I used to hide behind my mum whenever strangers appear. Wonder when I stopped .... er, was it when I find my mum's frame getting too small for me. HAAAAAA!

Anyway, was at school to meet up with the teachers who all expressed disappointment of them leaving school. But I guess, its for the better of both of them in the long run. Interesting insights from Natalie's teacher of how she can be looking around and yet answering impromptu questions posed to her. But Miss Ong was quick to highlight that Natalie's inability to stay attentive does not gel with the local education system.

Back to the little one ....... the princess of the 2, little Nicole.

Really getting into her role as princess, throwing more tantrums to get what she wants. Just remembered last week where I had to run off with Natalie in my arms cos she need to wee wee. Nicole was left with her mum but she yelled out "papi papi" for the longest of time. Once they caught up ... she hugged me like super glue. Next thing u know all she wants was me. End day, I didnt eat much at grandma's bday celebration. Infact we had to leave early cos of her tantrums. Lets look at her in one of her happier moods ....

Sunday 24 May 2009

Life Goes On! Some inner thoughts!

Well this is my 2 daughter's post and while I have lots to things to complain about at work ...... I decided to let it be and lifes goes on. End day they are the ones that really matters ...... the ones I need to protect and care for.

Some old photos of them. Not forgetting also the "BIG BABY" getting bigger each day ........ or should I also say lazier each day.

This is her right for now ...... but then if kids have their right due to their ignorance, the "BIG BABY" has hers due to carrying No.3 then where is mine? Father's day round the corner, a lesser celebrated day ...... but is it due for some rethinking, rebranding or even revamping as Fathers nowadays no longer are the MCPs of the past. I wonder sometimes ..... but it doesnt really matter just as birthday celebration dun really matter to me. What I need is the luxury to catch time as it passes by rather than chasing after it endlessly.

Saturday 16 May 2009

Yummy Breakfast!

Today is the official day the gynae package starts. We went of early to Gleneagles and was done within half an hour. Baby is 9 weeks and 2 days old. EDD 15th Dec 09. Length is 26mm. Lynn gained 1 kg ...... so good news is that she is retaining more of the food she is eating.
We proceed off the IKEA to shop after the appointment but end up at the restaurant instead.
Fyi ... I have had my breakfast so you know who belongs to the food on the table. HAHAHA!
Anyway, you just have to look at her face to know how excited she is about the 3 different breakfast she bought.
Hmm ..... interesting to see the weight gain at the next appointment.

Monday 11 May 2009

Its Working! Its Working!

Like me, little Natalie fears thunder and lightning. Whenever, it rains, she would start to switch off all entertainment gadgets. Be it TV, Her Cashier and even at times all lights in the house.

She also assumes that thunderstorm would go away if she does her homework.

Today is no different. It was raining early Sunday morning and she came up to me and asked to do her homework.

As she started on her homework .... she would periodically stand up and check the window.

True enough the rain got smaller as she started doing her homework.

Interestingly or amusingly she commented ... " Its Working, Its working!"

The above is Natalie after the rain stopped!

Saturday 9 May 2009

Hapi Mother's Day

Wow .... long time since anyone wrote anything. Not that Lynn is lazy .... but since the day we found out that 2 is now becoming 3, life has been hectic. Not that Lynn doesnt have time, mind you she was on MC for 2 weeks liao.

Except the little one is giving her mum some more exercise lah. Yah ... by exercise I meant walking to and fro the toilet .... forward bend down to puke and bend back to rinse her mouth. As the day goes by .... speed at which food is entering her system and downloaded out of the system is increasing .... how I wish broadband speed was so fast.

Naturally, the "doing of things" has been transferred to me. Mind you got no handover document one, its just do it.

So updating this blog also now become one of my chores ........ like how gynae charge expecting mothers via a package .... my new responsibilities also come in a package as well yah.

Also timely to be updating this blog given that Mother's day is round the corner. As my Lynn now copes with becoming a mother of 3 ...... a nice way to be celebrating this weekend with her.

Having a gathering over this weekend for Mother's day. From my GMIL to my own mother .... then of course with my 2 kid's mother as well. Celebrations always comes with issues, this year is no different but heck ..... I do things my way, u want you come, dun want dun come. Life is simple so lets not make it complicated. I told one of my frens recently .... when u begin with no expectations, you would not be angry or frustrated.

Back to the main cast of this blog ... Natalie brought home from school a self made card and a box of cookies (which I believe are from her teachers) , all meant for her mummy Lynn. Well Lynn was happy with the card naturally ...... but couldnt taste the cookies cos the 2 gals of mine decided to taste test it. The fact they finished it naturally means that it surely tastes good ... but we would never know.

Well ...... u you are getting bored .... dun worry. Pictures would come .... at least to capture the events for this weekend.

But for now, all I can say is that life is gonna be different with the 3rd one coming ....... I am feeling and seeing it now already.

While on our way to settle Nat's new kindergarten yesterday ... we sort of decided to keep the gender of the next one a secret until delivery. That would be interesting given the high level of interest ...... apparently a bet is going around on the gender of the next child.

Well ...... we wait but we will know soon enough whether the next one would be called Naomi or Lucas.

Thats all for this morning .... got to start to clear things. Hosting 2 meals today.

Hapi Mother's Day to All Mothers ......

Nicole's Birthday

It is Nicole's Birthday .... so we are off to her school to celebrate her birthday in school. As it is her special day, she went to school in a nice red dress. This however made Natalie sad cos she had the impression that we were going off shopping without her. Only after some assurance did she realise that we are only going after school ends for the day.

Natalie was given permission to pop by for the cake cutting over at Nicole's class and they had a wonderful time singing and celebration the occasion ... again. Hahahahaha!

After school, we were off shopping. Even though the kids were tired, they managed to show off their laughter and joy.

Look at her double eyelid. Signs of fatigue setting in.

But she never fail to put that smile on your face

with the contagious laughter of hers.

Happy Birthday to you Nicole. You are 3 already.

Love Daddy & Mummy!

Not forgetting your Sister Natalie as well!
