Nicole is so into pink lately. Everything has to be PINK even her M&M's. Light pink or dark pink doesn't matter as long as it is pink. While we are trying her shoes that other day, she will only try on pink shoes.
She was asking me what colour I like. I told her blue and she tell me off saying that only boys like blue, girls like pink except for her jie-jie that like yellow.
Luckily, she doesn't only wear pink clothes, if not I will have a PINK overdose.

Early morning conversation
Ever since the beginning of her school holidays, she has been waking up before Daddy and me leave for work.
Almost all mornings we will have the following conversation:
Natalie: " Are you going to work, Mummy?"
Mummy: "Yes"
Natalie: "What about Daddy?"
Mummy: "Yes"
Natalie: "Can you stay at home and not go to work?"
She wishes that either of us is not going to work and could spend more them with her and her siblings. It is only 1 week since her school holiday starts and she is getting bored.

Natalie Birthday Celebration in School
This year my girl is going to graduated from kindergarten. She is aware that after the school holidays she will be going to Primary school and might not see some of her classmates again. Her teacher gave her a tweeny weeny autograph book. Inside her group mates wrote messages for her. Eason and Cheryl wrote that they miss her. It is so touching.
She is so happy that we are organising a birthday celebration for her in school. She has never celebrated her birthday in school as her birthday is during the school holidays. This year, she decide on her cake, goodies bags as well as the dress she is going to wear to school. She wanted a Dora theme. So we decided on Dora cupcakes so that every child also has a cupcake ring to bring home on top of their goodies bags. She helped to pack all the goodies bags making sure that every bag has all the items to be included. Nothing can describe the pride and joy to see the girls singing so happily during the school assembly that day.

Growing Up in More than 1 way!
6 years already since the birth of little Natalie. Still not gotten over the sight of Dr Tan yanking her out and placing her on Mummy Lynn's tummy, just like how a fishmonger would handle a red snapper.
And yes she has graduated. Not only from her kindergarten but I guess also from her ignorance of her surrounding. Graduated from being a cry baby to someone who now plays, takes care and protects her brother Nathan.
Happy to see that she even extends her care and concern to her sister Nicole. The sight of a elder sister consoling her younger sibling that she has to leave with Daddy earlier and then coming to me to ask me to stop scolding her sister. Taken aback I was, not with my impatience for the day but with the sight that my daughter has grown up.
Little do I know that I can get so emo over her graduation but the pride to see your young one standing on stage in graduation gown overhelms you. Bringing you back from the attention which is so sucked away by the new challenges at work.
I am glad that I was part of the whole ceremony. Plenty of laughter, plenty of fun. But a sense of pride which nothing in this world can replace, to see my daughter growing up after so much she has gone through over just this one year.
A Daddy's love and pride on the graudation of her daughter.

More shopping with my girls
After I brought Nicole for her review at KKH, the girls and I went shopping. At first, I was thinking of bringing them to Ikea after shopping at United Square. I told then we are on a mission to get 3 pairs of shoes and clothes. Natalie insisted she do not need another pair of shoes while Nicole loves to have more shoes.
I was wondering what to have for lunch and have no idea where to get rice and soup for them, when Natalie pointed out to me - Aijisen on the 2nd floor. She knows we can get rice and miso soup there.
We only managed to get a pair of shoes for Nicole as well as some clothes. And by the time, we got our toys from Toy 'R' Us, the girls are so tired that they decided to move Ikea to another day. They just can't wait to go home to playing with their new ice cream toys and also to give Nathan his present.

Natalie has graduated from Kindergarten
Since morning, she kept asking if it is 5:30 pm cause she do not want to be late for her graduation concert. Only one year ago, she was deprived of the chance to perform for no apparent reason.
Today she is eagerly preparing for her performance. She has been rehearsing for weeks and we did not hear her complain, only the enthusiasm of performing together with her classmates. She was humming the songs at home. Only after the performance, did she came home and told Lihong how tired she has been.

Sleepover
Natalie has been requesting to sleep with us on weekends. She loves to be cuddled by both Daddy and me and having more opportunities to play with our iphones. She will move her chew-chew and blankey over to room the moment she get permission from us.
To make sure that Nicole don't feel let out, we will ask if she wants to sleep with us. Her reply: "No, I want to sleep with my auntie" or "No, Daddy is too loud". Daddy is dumbfounded when he hears her reply.
